Hello again, everyone!
Okay, so I’m big on going old school when it comes to scheduling stuff. Sure, I like using Google calendars and FB for events but I also use this handy dandy tool.
It’s called paper and pencil.
*avoids your angry glare*
Before you leave this page because you think that I’ve totally wasted your time, give me another moment.
I add my events and tasks to a digital calendar that syncs with my laptop and phone but I also write my tasks and events down on a to-do list and write down stuff on an actual paper calendar because it helps me remember what I have to do. There’s something special that happens when you pick up a pencil or a pen and write stuff down by hand. You have to spend more time on it and you can have your calendar or task list open, sitting next to your computer, as a reminder all day. You have a better chance of remembering the task.
No electricity required. No syncing. No internet. None of those things that could disappear in a black-out. Yes, of course, it could catch fire. So can your computer.
If you’re looking for an inexpensive (but pretty) way to keep a handwritten schedule, check out this beautiful and whimsical calendar/planner template that I found on Etsy. It’s only $8.50 and is available for instant download. So all you have to do is click and print. And before you ask, no I’m not affiliated with this person. I just thought it was pretty.
