5 Ways We Encourage Writers

Welcome to the Writers for Pete’s Sake official website. Our goal as a group is to help make members (and all of you wonderful people) better writers by learning, practicing, and helping each other. So why do we need an official website? We want to be able to pass on our knowledge and help grow as a group.

Keeping that in mind, I’ll be posting a writing prompt every Monday to get our creative juices flowing for the week. Sometimes we just need an extra push to get our butts in gear.

In order to keep that momentum, I’ll be posting “writing challenges” on Tuesdays. These challenges will include things to add to your current project such as themes or objects. These challenges will also include things that will challenge you as a professional writer. Hopefully they will be things that will help you think about writing as a career. Things like scheduling time to write everyday, making writing goals, etc.

Wednesdays will be for book reviews, movie reviews, and links to informative writing resources. It will be a hodgepodge of greatness.

On Thursdays I will post about the writing craft:

“3 Tips On Writing Short Stories”
“5 Things To Remember About Punctuation”
“3 Grammar Rules That We Keep Forgetting”

Fridays will be reserved for inspiration to help keep you in the writing spirit for the whole weekend.

I hope that everyone is just as excited as I am about getting things started.

Happy Writing Everyone!

Love, Joy
